Muxin Li, born 2007, is a guitarist from Hangzhou, China.
She began her guitar studies at the age of three under Liyan Weng, Le Li, and
Qianlong Xie. At the age of eight, she won third prize in the artists group at
Changsha International Guitar Festival (China). She made her solo concert
debut at the age of ten at the Concert Hall of Shanghai Conservatory of Music
Middle School. In 2019, she was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music
Middle School in Beijing,
where she studied with Jiajiong Li, the same year, winning the third prize of
the Junior Division at the Guitar
Foundation of America (GFA).
In 2022,
Muxin entered the Curtis Institute
of Music, where she currently studies
with David Starobin and Jason Vieaux. At age sixteen, Muxin Li won first prize
in the Senior Division of the GFA competition and in June 2025, in the world's
most prestigious guitar competition, the GFA Concert Artist Division (ages
18-35), Muxin the youngest contestant took second prize.
Muxin Li has an
extensive performance background, and has played numerous concerts in Asia, as
well as in Philadelphia and New York.
