Kazuo SATO, Germany
Concert

Brazilian/spruce
New : 2007
$14,000.00

The hall mark of this great master's classical guitars is their lush, powerful, grand concert sound which features unusually strong fundamental tones, rich clear well controlled overtones, wonderful depth and excellent color and balance. As one would expect to find in such a consummate master's signature work, Sato's magnificent sound is complimented by beautiful old materials, immaculate workmanship, and elegant understated visual aesthetics.

Kazuo Sato was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1946. In 1965 he apprenticed and was employed in the workshop of Master K. Nobe. In 1971 he began work in David Rubio's legendary workshop in Oxford, England where he crafted a number of very impressive sounding instruments under the Rubio label imprint, "KS." In 1974 he established his own guitar and lute workshop in Hekelgem, Belgium. In 1976 he moved to Germany where he currently lives and continues to create his beautiful art guitars.
